Kutz N Kickz @ Chicago's Hot Spot

Located on Chicago's Northwest side, The Hot Spot is an up a coming hair studio with a little more to offer than just fades and braids. On any given day at the shop you can expect to find hip-hop beats bumpin' in the background, the buzzing of clippers giving shape to new looks, and if you're lucky, there may be a fresh pair of kicks that are just your size. The Hot Spot is co-owned and operated by Melo.

A true sneaker head, Melo has been buying, trading and collecting sneakers for years. You may have seen him and his kicks at various SOLE Collector events, Chicago DunkXchange and Sneaker Pimps. He decided to bring his passion for sneakers and sneaker culture together with his passion for cuts and graphics by keeping some of his own personal, exclusive collection on display and for sale at the shop. He may also, from time to time, get a hold of a size run of some heat. Melo is all about the aesthetics; he is just as meticulous about a lining as he is about sneakers, and he's also about to drop his new clothing line with his brother Bee, so be on the lookout for Born With Soul.
